Diana Paredes is the CEO and Co-Founder of Suade, a software platform that enables financial institutions to understand and deliver their regulatory requirements. Prior to founding Suade, Diana had a successful career in investment banking, covering all asset classes at Barclays and Merrill Lynch, across sales, trading & structuring. Whilst working in the industry, she saw an opportunity to innovate and launch her current Fintech/Regtech startup. She believes that a data-driven approach to regulation is the key to preventing the next financial crisis.

Jason Boud is the Co-Founder and CEO of RegTech Associates, a global research company who use their analysis to provide strategic insight and advice to their clients. They help their technology clients grow and their regulated firm clients manage compliance more effectively. In 2014, he Co-Founded Beyond Enterprise, a company that provides risk and compliance advisory services to financial institutions.

In 2013, Jason embarked on becoming an investor in early-stage startups and continues to be an active advisor to several FinTech and RegTech companies. Jason is a mentor and investor on the FinTech Innovation Lab (Accenture) programme.

Jason is always advocating for the growth of the global RegTech industry by speaking at events, writing about the market and investing in early-stage startups.

Nils Hoffmann is Head of GovStart DACH at PUBLIC Germany. He was previously the founding director of GovLab Arnsberg (Land NRW) and analyst at Erdmann Family Office/ MMD Group. He studied economics and cultural engineering. In 2018, Nils Hoffmann was voted among the “World’s 100 most influential young people in government”.

As a partner to Early FinTech Ventures, an independent European VC focusing on Fintech with Scandinavian roots, Astrid brings in 20 years’ of banking, FinTech and RegTech experience in Germany, Japan and the US. Looking at innovation for the financial services industry since the financial crisis in 2008 combined with her legal background as a fully qualified lawyer Astrid is a persistent driver of the financial ecosystem in this regard and frequently invited to panels and conferences. Prior to Early FinTech Ventures Astrid has worked with tech start-ups in Germany both with the SAP as SAP.iO’s Foundry Head and as Head of Start-up co-ordination for Deutsche Bank. In addition to this Astrid has extensive banking experience with Deutsche Bank. She has also founded Reg Tech Berlin, an advisory firm, for reg tech relevant aspects, and holds a Master of Law (LLM) from Free University Berlin.

Deborah Young, Founding CEO of The RegTech Association, Sydney Australia

Deborah Young is the founding CEO of The RegTech Association, a global non-profit industry member body focussed on accelerating adoption of RegTech solutions and creating a global centre of RegTech excellence. She has led the growth from 8 organisations to more than 150 organisations in less than 3 years including global RegTech firms, top tier banks, global technology companies and consulting firms and has achieved year on year growth in revenue and a growing global impact. She has led and developed the industry in Australia to be recognised as the third highest concentration of RegTech producers in the world.

Deborah sits on the Australian Federal Government FinTech Advisory Committee, NSW Government ICT Procurement Task Force, The National Blockchain Roadmap RegTech Committee and is an observer on the ASIC Digital Committee and a regular speaker, presenter and designer of RegTech programs for the association and its partners and with regulators in Australia and overseas.

Deborah is an accomplished chief executive, non-executive director, mentor and strategic business consultant. She has over 20 years' experience as a senior executive across financial services, including investment banking, private equity, venture capital, superannuation and insurance spectrums. Deborah holds an Executive MBA (Global) from UTS Business School and she was a finalist as CEO of the Year in the Women in Finance Awards in 2019 and was one of the AFR’s 100 Women of Influence in 2019 for Innovation.
